What are scallops?
A dish of scallops in restaurants resembles small squares. They are actually the muscles of certain molluscs. The muscles help to open and close the shells of the molluscs. Scallops are always wandering from place to place. They move by sucking water into their shells and then squirting it out suddenly. Scallops are part of a group of molluscs which include oysters, clams and snails.
