Largest mural painting in Asia
A painting of Veerabhadra (an incarnation of Shiva), measuring 23×13 feet on the ceiling of the Veerabhadreshwara temple in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh, is said to be one of the largest mural paintings in Asia. The mural has been painted using natural pigments. The temple is situated atop the Kurmasaila or Tortoise hilltop. Veerabhadra was the patron God of the Nayak rulers who constructed the Lepakshi temple complex.
