The angry pressure cooker

One evening we were watching ‘Dance India, dance.’ morn was in the kitchen cooking. When it was Jay’s turn to dance we called out to Mom. Mom came out and after sometime all of us got engrossed in Jay’s performance. Next was Alisha’s turn and then Siddhesh’s turn. We were having a wonderful time watching the show.

Suddenly, there was a loud explosion and it came from the kitchen. We rushed to the kitchen to see that mom’s pressure cooker had burst and there was dal splattered all over the room. The pressure cooker continued to burn. We found the lid with the whistle that the angry cooker had thrown a meter away from the gas stove. Mom, in her haste to see Jay perform had forgotten to put water into the cooker and the pressure had built in the cooker until the cooker couldn’t hold its temper any more and it had angrily burst blowing its lid and its contents.
