When The Man Started Drinking Milk?

When we say “milk”, we mean cow’s milk. The human being mostly consumed cow’s milk. The milk from other animals is also consumed by people in the world. Buffalo milk comprises half the milk consumption in India. In the countries along Mediterranean the goat’s milk is widely used. The milk of reindeer in used as a food in Northern Europe.

Of course, the idea of making concentrated milk and dry milk is modern. The Tatars actually prepared concentrated milks in paste. Tiw dry milk was prepared as early as the year 1200 and used as food during the raids under Genghis Khan.

In the year 1856, the original patent for evaporated milk was granted and was widely used by soldiers in civil war. The water content in cow’s milk is about 87 per cent. The remainder supplies to man with a high percentage of daily requirements of calcium, protein and vitamins A and B.
