My Favorite Doll

As a kid, I had a doll that at one time was inseparable from me. It was a stuffed doll, gifted to me by my grandfather when I was ten. I fell in love with it from the moment I set my eyes on it. It was Cinderella. She had a blue and yellow well-fitted bodice with puffed sleeves, which was attached to a colorful floral skirt with white lace at the hem. The cap fitted on her head was of the same floral design. Her hair was of brown wool, done in two thick braids. Her skirt had patches of yellow on them showing her poor plight. Her face had partly pink and black eyes giving an impression that she had closed them. Below her left eye was a woolen tear. She had a little red nose and her red lips were an inverted crescent speaking of her sorrow. When held upside down she amazingly turned into a happy princess. She was now in a powder blue and white gown with white lace aesthetically woven in. Her hair was white(something I was very puzzled about) but royally made with curls on one end. There was a gold band on her hair and a golden choker around her neck. Her features were transformed and her radiant smile made me smile whenever I looked at her. I still have her, twenty-five years later and today, she lights up my daughter’s face.
