A Novel Hobby

A hobby is an activity or interest, undertaken for pleasure or relaxation, mostly in one’s spare time. I have had a number of hobbies from collecting stamps to shells, stickers to pebbles, leaves and dried flowers to, believe it or not, snake skin!

Today, my hobbies continue to be unlimited be it reading, writing, cooking, listening to music, dancing or day dreaming. I must confess that I have not pursued a hobby with the dedication of a few friends I know and my brother too. Trying new things has always fascinated me. However, one hobby that remains unfulfilled is to learn different forms of dance- well, at least a couple. Having led a nomadic life and not being in the right place at the right time has kept me from it but the passion remains and I am sure I will fulfill it soon. Outdoor hobbies have always sounded great to me but I have not really ventured into any.

Today, the opportunities are so many that novel ideas for hobbies leave you wide eyed. Adventure sports have reached spine- chilling heights and there is no limit to what one can collect. Hobbies are always a pleasure as they are never thrust on you. Lucky are those people who can make a career out of their hobbies.
