Recycling Paper to Save Trees

Winnie inquisitively looked at the bins and stacks of waste paper in Leena’s house. She asked her mother “Auntie, what is this for?” “We have opened a Small Scale Unit for recycling. Here, we process waste paper to make recycled paper.”

Winnie was surprised to learn that approximately 17 grown-up trees are cut to produce one ton of cheap virgin paper. Thousands of trees are cut annually to meet the demand. The priceless benefits offered by these wonderful gifts of nature are endless. Therefore, a recycling unit contributes to promoting the recycling of paper to prevent reckless deforestation. Waste paper is otherwise sent for accumulation of landfill. Landfill sites produce gases poisonous to living beings. Thus recycling benefits are two-fold. Firstly, less timber is required for the shortened virgin paper requirement. And secondly, the lesser amount of waste paper goes to the landfill. Also, recycled paper is just as good for use by students and professionals alike. Winnie too pledged to bring waste paper from her house also for recycling.
