Who are aborigines?

Aborigines are the people who have been inhabiting a place before any others arrived there. The word is derived from the Latin aborigine meaning ‘from the beginning’. Roman writers were the first to use the word. The most well-known aborigines in the world are probably the Australian aborigines. They belong to a separate family of man and are called Australoids. Bushmen are the aborigines of South Africa.
