Whether it’s my lunch box or my snack box, everybody waits for me to open it. My mom makes an effort to make lunch interesting. Sometimes there will be a chicken roti wrap with a smile printed in sauce on it that reminds me of her. At other times there will be a piece of cake with my name written over it. However it’s not just the presentation, mom’s food tastes even better than it looks.

Its really wonderful opening my lunchbox and not knowing what will be inside it. Whether it is her glorious pay bhaji which is finger licking good, or her handwork; everything mom makes has great taste. Mom’s bakes are out of this world. Many people ask mom why she doesn’t sell her cakes. However, mom doesn’t want to make it a business and I guess just cooking for our family keeps her occupied.
