How I Spent My Last Sunday

Sunday holds a great charm for everybody. It is a day of res merry-making. People wait for it eagerly. The routine of Sunday different from working days. All sleep late at night and get up la Sunday morning. There is no hurry and worry of any kind. Different people spend their Sunday in different ways.

I got up late in the morning. I took my bath and had my breakfast 8 a.m. After taking breakfast I made for Nehru Park. My friends have already come there. We had fixed a cricket match for this day. The players of Vishnu Club also reached there. We got ready to play. It was a match of limited overs. Each team was to play forty overs.

The match started at 10 a.m. Our team was to bat first. Our openers played a solid innings. I also showed my hands with the bat. Our team scored 190 runs. I was the top scorer with 50 runs. The team of Vishnu Club could not face the onslaught of our bowlers. Their wickets continued to fall in quick succession. The whole team was out for 150 runs. We won the match by 40 runs.

I came home in the evening. I was dead tired. I requested my mother to give me a cup of hot tea. I felt refreshed. I watched TV for sometime. My uncle had come to meet us. We took our dinner and gossiped for a while. I went to sleep very early. I got up early next morning. I was feeling quite fresh and energetic. This is how I spent my last Sunday.
