Failing an examination

My biggest fear is failing an examination. My elder brother is hardworking and diligent, does his homework everyday, hence never fears failing. I, on the other hand constantly have nightmares of failing.

I have never failed an exam before but my best friend Nitin has. When he failed, his Dad didn’t let him watch television or go out to play for a month and his mom did not cook his favourite food until he had cleared the next exam. Eating and playing are the two things I love to do the most. I can’t imagine what life would be like without mom’s famous fish curry. Not being able to watch TV or play with your friends could only make it worse.

I learned a bitter lesson from Nitin’s failing. How-ever, better to learn from others mistakes than make your own.
