An amusing incident

Last summer my cousin Suyog came to visit us on the farmhouse. We have two big dogs Leo and Maya and three puppies. Leo and Maya are busy herding the sheep during the day and their puppies just loiter around the farmhouse. The puppies are just a month old and look like cute little furry balls.

When the puppies saw Suyog they immediately began to lick his feet as is their custom. Suyog who had never touched a dog before started jumping about. The more he jumped, the more excited the puppies got. They thought that he was playing with them. My Dad told Suyog that the puppies were only sniffing him to check if he was a prospective friend and they wouldn’t bite him. Suyog was so worried he replied, “What if they don’t like my scent?” They might bite me then! Everybody roared with laughter at Suyog’s innocent but amusing reply.
