The tribal women’s football team wins a medal

A team of teenage tribal women won the bronze medal in the famed Gastiez Cup football tournament at Victoria Gastiez, in Spain, on July 13, 2013. The victory was exceptionally remarkable and drew worldwide admiration. At their Rukka village home near Ranchi in Bihar, the girls were made to sweep and swab floors prior to their departure. Rukka is considered the world’s epicenter for child marriage and human trafficking
