A bank for women by women
The first all-women bank, the Bharatiya Mahila Bank was inaugurated in Mumbai on November 19, 2013, by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The bank’s focus is on women-oriented products. There is a focus on providing loans for projects that provide employment to women and empower working women.
