10 Lines on “The Happiest Day of My Life”

1. Last year, I passed my class IV Examination. Although I had fared well in the examination yet I was not so hopeful of getting a first class.
2. I was very much anxious because the question of my career was attached to it.
3. The day before the result was expected, I spent a restless night. I along with my friends got up early in the morning and went to my school.
4. I hurriedly went to the display board and stated looking for my roll number. All sorts of expressions were appearing on my face.
5. It was a matter of immense surprise and pleasure to find that I stood second in my class.
6. God fulfilled my desires. I felt grateful to Him. My other friends are also passed, securing good marks.
7. In order to celebrate our success we chalked out a plan to go to some picnic spot. We decided on Okhla. We reached, Okhla, a lovely picnic resort, at 12 noon. There was heavy rush of people. The banks of canal were occupied by visitors.
8. We identified a place under a banyan tree and sat there. We had also taken with us our picnic hamper. We had our lunch to our heart’s content. Then, we listened music. As, we lost in the sweet music of our transistor, we heard loud cries.
9. I immediately rushed towards the canal and saw to my shock and surprise that a boy was drowning. He was crying for help. It was a day of great joy and happiness.
10. Not only did I secure the second position, but also I did a brave and noble act of by saving a boy from the jaws of death. This day would go down as one of the happiest days of my life.
